We ask for a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy, with additional training needed to offer branded treatments. Only qualified beauty therapists can offer nails, facials, waxing, lashes and brow treatments with us.

Massage

To offer massages on Urban, therapists need to have a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification. For specialist treatments including deep tissue, sports massage, injury/pain management, Thai massage, lymphatic drainage and pregnancy massages, therapists must show us additional qualifications or CPD certification.

Nope, your lash tech will bring everything they need. Some lash experts will bring a treatment table (which you’ll need 2x3m of floor space for), others will simply ask you to lie down somewhere comfortable – check your pro’s bio to see what they bring.For ease, try to find a well-lit space and remove any eye-makeup.

Yes, all mobile therapists on Urban have to show they meet our high standards of hygiene by taking a number of assessments before joining. We also check they have clean, spa/clinic-grade equipment, complete with single-use items and cleaning products relevant to each service they offer.

If this is your first lash treatment, then yes – you need to get a patch test 48 hours before your treatment to avoid any allergic reactions to the products used. Please message your pro via the in-app chat to schedule this with them.

If you’re unable to, your pro will ask you to sign a disclaimer at the time of your appointment. Please note, Urban will not be held liable for any allergic reactions.

There are a few things you can do – and should avoid – to keep your extensions looking their best.

Avoid contact with water and eye make-up within 24-48 hours of your treatment

Avoid steam (e.g. saunas, facials, etc.)

Avoid using oil-based make-up and other products on your eyes and lashes as this might weaken the glue holding your extensions

If you wear mascara or other eye make-up, remove it using water-based make-up remover

Don’t rub or pull your lashes and avoid eyelash curlers

Brush lashes daily with a dry mascara wand

Gently cleanse your lashes and lids daily with an oil-free cleanser

We currently only offer Urban beauty services across central and Greater London. Our massage services can be found across major cities in the UK, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Coventry, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Your eyelash extensions will look their best for two to three weeks. As your natural lashes grow and naturally fall out, your extensions will move with them.

We advise you to book infills after three weeks, or a new full set of lashes within three to five weeks for the best results.
