Where movement meets mindfulness
Tight hips, stiff shoulders, low energy? Sounds like you need a good, full-body stretch. But instead of rolling out a yoga mat, let someone else do the work.
Thai yoga massage is an ancient floor-based, movement-led treatment that blends flowing stretches, acupressure and mindfulness to leave you restored and completely relaxed. It’s like yoga’s more indulgent cousin.
Deep stretch, no effort
You’ll be gently moved into yoga-like positions that help muscles fully release – especially great if you’re sore from the gym or stuck at a desk all day.
Acupressure that grounds and calms
Your pro will apply rhythmic pressure along energy lines to relieve tension and quiet your nervous system.
Feel refreshed from top to toe
The combination of movement and pressure helps improve energy flow, so you walk away feeling open, lighter and more connected to your body.
After a quick check-in, your Urban pro will set up a traditional Thai mattress and ask about any areas that feel stiff or sore.
During your treatment, you’ll lie back (fully clothed), while your therapist gently stretches, rocks and presses your body in sync with your breath – using hands, forearms, elbows or feet to guide your movement. It’s rhythmic, flowing and deeply calming.
By the end, you’ll feel like you’ve had a workout, nap and meditation session in one – minus the effort.
Want more pressure or oil? Try a traditional Thai massage instead.

Learn more about Thai yoga massage
Thai yoga massage is an ancient practice that dates back over 2,500 years, blending healing systems from Thailand, India and China.
Also known as “lazy yoga,” it’s a full-body treatment where your therapist moves you through gentle stretches, applies pressure to tension points and uses flowing, rhythmic movements to ease stiffness and boost circulation.
It’s performed fully clothed, with no oil, on a traditional Thai floor mattress – think deep release and movement, without any effort on your part.
This ancient practice is believed to have been originally developed by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, a physician said to be connected to the Buddha and a figure still honoured in Thai medicine today.
Originally practised in Buddhist temples, Thai yoga massage was as much a spiritual discipline as a physical one – combining mindfulness, compassion and healing touch. It draws on elements of Indian Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine and Thai bodywork, with a focus on energy lines (called Sen) believed to run through the body.
While it’s now practised around the world, its goal remains the same: to help restore balance, ease tension and reconnect you with your body – one breath and stretch at a time.
Both share Thai roots, but the experience is totally different:
Thai yoga massage is done on a mat, fully clothed, with your body gently guided through stretches and pressure.
Thai oil massage happens on a table, using oils and more traditional massage strokes, with some gentle stretching included.
If you want to be stretched and moved without undressing or using oil, go for Thai yoga. If you prefer oil and a more classic massage feel, Thai massage is your go-to.
Not at all. There’s no yoga practice or poses for you to do – your therapist guides your body through every movement, so you can just relax and breathe through the flow.
Loose, comfy clothes that let you move freely – like leggings, joggers or pyjamas. You’ll stay fully clothed throughout.
No, we recommend our specialist pregnancy massage instead.
