During your treatment
Your wax expert is a total pro – they’ll bring everything they need to treat you.
They’ll start by putting you at ease, making sure you’re comfortable, then they’ll prep your skin. Next, they’ll apply hot wax in sections and remove it quickly, using techniques that minimise discomfort. They’ll cover the bikini area, front and back.
The treatment will be finished off with post-wax lotion, designed to soothe the skin and reduce inflammation.
Good to know
Some therapists carry a treatment table with them and they’ll need at least 2x2m of floor space to set it up. Others prefer to set up using the furniture in your home. Check your therapist's bio when booking to find a pro that matches your preferences.

If you’ve ever waxed or epilated your legs, the pain’s about the same. Therapists are trained to work quickly with techniques that minimise pain and discomfort.
Make sure your hair’s at least a half-centimetre long (that’s at least three weeks’ growth) so the wax has something to grip. It’s also worth exfoliating regularly – but not on the day of your treatment – to loosen any trapped hairs.
While a hollywood wax removes all hair in the area, front and back, a Brazilian leaves a neat strip of hair at the front.
Your first wax is likely to last about three weeks. But waxes do get more effective the more often you have them, and regular waxing can give results that last up to six weeks.
