Join Urban and Treatwell in urging the government to reopen hair, beauty and wellness on December 3rd

The UK’s £30bn hair, beauty and wellness industry has been brought to its knees by the Covid-19 pandemic. Over 50,000 businesses and 370,000 jobs are at risk if our industry isn’t allowed to reopen on 3rd December.

The run up to Christmas offers a lifeline for many salons, spas and independent beauty contractors who are on the brink of collapse.

All the evidence shows that the industry is safe and accounts for very low levels of Covid transmission. The government must act now to save jobs, businesses, livelihoods and the fabric of our high streets up and down the country.

Write to your local MP

A few tips for engaging your MP:

● MPs should be addressed as Mr/Ms/Dr/ e.g. Ms Bloggs

● Include your name and address/postcode – MPs only listen to concerns from their constituents, so you need to include your address and postcode to confirm you are a constituent

● Make it personal – using your own words to explain your concerns will be very impactful and help your letter avoid spam filters
