Waxing treatments are currently available in London only

• Intimate waxing, including mens

To offer waxing on Urban, you’ll need:

• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS issued in the last 12 months
• An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in beauty therapy
• A full, professional-grade kit

You’ll need to pass a short waxing assessment to get started:

• Complete a 28-question quiz (you’ll need 60% to pass)
• Send us a photo of your full kit (we’ll request this via email or in-app)

Your equipment checklist

Bring the following to every booking:

• Full waxing kit (see full list below)
• Couch roll
• Medium towel for your tools
• Disinfectant wipes or spray
• Sanitiser for your tools
• Consultation forms

You'll need to upload a photo of the following during onboarding:

Waxing products:

• Hot wax beads
• Soft cream wax
• Pre and after wax lotion
• Wax residue remover oil

Equipment and tools:

• Portable wax warmer
• Spatulas (standard and slim)
• Tweezers
• Wax equipment cleaner 

Hygiene and prep essentials:

• Cotton pads
• Couch roll
• Disposable gloves
  Disposable face masks
• Hand sanitiser
• Barbicide and a suitable disinfecting jar

• Single-use underwear (for intimate waxing)

Your client provides towels for the table. If your kit includes extra products you like to use, feel free to show them in your onboarding photo.
