Accidental Damaged Property

I’m worried about damaging my client’s property, what can I do?

You can lower the chances of damaging a client’s property by:

  • Taking off your shoes when you enter their home
  • Being mindful of walls as you bring your equipment in
  • Taking time to clear a large enough space for you to set up and work in
  • Placing your products on a towel
  • Asking each client to fill out a consultation form
  • Keeping cleaning products in a plastic bag
  • Using bottles or pots that dispense products easily; avoid unpractical bottles or pots that can lead to spills to the floor, walls or furnitures with slippery hands

I accidentally damaged my client’s property, what should I do?

First, don’t panic. Accidental damage to clients’ property is something that can happen from time to time. Take these steps:

  1. Say sorry
  2. Take a few pictures to keep a record of the damage
  3. Let us know if your client asks about making a claim so we can start the process with your insurance provider*

*Please note that even if you don’t let us know, the client may contact us and we’ll need to start the insurance claim process. Read more here.
