Nail services are currently available in London only.
Treatments you can offer
- Manicures and pedicures (gel or classic polish)
- Mani-pedi combos (with or without varnish)
Optional treatment add-ons
Clients can choose to add these to their treatment at an extra cost, as long as you offer it:
- French tips (hands or feet, gel or classic)
- Nail art (gel only)
- Gel removal
- Extra hand or foot massage
- Hand and foot masks
Qualifications needed
You need to be a fully qualified beauty therapist with at least an NVQ Level 2 in beauty therapy. You’ll also need:
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS issued in the last 12 months
Your equipment checklist
- Professional clothing or Urban-branded top (optional)
- Smartphone (iPhone or Android)
- Tools for trimming, buffing and cuticle work
- UV or LED lamp (for gel treatments)
- Gel removal products
- At least 12 gel or polish colours
- Pedicure basin and towel
- Disinfectant spray or wipes
- Barbicide solution
- Consultation forms
Use your favourite high-quality brands
As long as your products are salon-quality, you’re free to use the brands you love. Popular choices include CND, OPI, Gellish and Gelux.
How the nails assessment works
- You’ll complete a short quiz (pass mark: 15/20)
- Submit:

A social media link (e.g. Instagram) showing your work
- Details of the brands you use
- Three clear, high-quality photos of a fresh gel manicure showing:

All nails in focus
- Neat, even polish (no skin contact)
- Clean cuticles, matching lengths
- Include a business card or handwritten name for verification

Photos must be your own, under three months old and clearly show your skills. If anything looks off, we’ll ask for proof or a set of different images
