What is a DBS?

A DBS check is a record of a person's criminal convictions and cautions – carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

 

What is Urban’s DBS policy?

Urban requires all Heroes to have a clear enhanced DBS issued within 12 months. This is in the interest of safety for our community of practitioners and clients.

In Scotland, we require a clear basic Disclosure check issued within 12 months.

Urban reserves the right to request an updated DBS certificate at our discretion. 

 

How can I obtain an enhanced DBS check?

It is not possible to apply for your own enhanced DBS check. During onboarding, or if we request an updated enhanced DBS, we can facilitate by applying for your check via our partner uCheck.
