How to prepare for your wax appointment

Before booking

  • For waxing, make sure your hair is long enough – about three weeks of regrowth is ideal
  • Exfoliate around 48 hours before your session to prep your skin and help prevent ingrown hairs

Right after booking

Double check your address and treatment details. Your pro can only provide the treatment you’ve selected.

Use the Notes tab on your booking to share helpful info, like:

  • Any pre-existing conditions or past allergic reactions
  • Parking details
  • Directions or entry instructions for your building

About an hour before your session

  • Prepare your space: make sure there’s enough room for your pro to set up. Some bring a treatment table (needing around 2x2m of space), others may use existing furniture. Check their bio before booking if you have a preference. Bright lighting helps, and it’s useful to have a towel ready to lie on. If you’ve booked waxing, make sure there’s a plug socket available for the wax heater.
  • Prepare your skin: take a quick warm shower before waxing to soften hair follicles, but avoid very hot water as it can make removal harder. Skip moisturiser on the day — it can stop the wax sticking properly.

After your appointment

  • Your pro will check you’re happy with the results before they leave
  • To soothe any irritation, apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturise.
