How should I prepare for my osteopathy session?
Your osteopath will bring a treatment table with them, so make sure you’ve cleared enough space (around 2x3m – about the size of an internal door) with room to move around it. Have a small surface nearby for their equipment if possible.
Here’s how to get ready so you can make the most of your treatment:
Before your appointment
- Add your correct address and any useful directions in the app
- Let your pro know where they can park (use the notes section in the app)
- Clear enough space for the treatment table, plus room to move around
- Have two large towels and a smaller one ready for the headrest – a pillow or cushion can also be useful
- Share any relevant health conditions with your osteopath in advance
- A quick shower beforehand can help relax your muscles and make the treatment feel even better
During your appointment
- Your pro will ask where you’d like them to set up
- They may ask you to undress to your underwear for assessment, but if you’d prefer, wear shorts or leggings instead
- All treatments are strictly professional and non-sexual – underwear should remain on at all times
- Respect your pro’s boundaries: we have a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate behaviour
