Beginner's yoga

Build the foundations of your yoga practice in a private live video class.

You want to:

Start your yoga journey, feel grounded, improve flexibility

The rundown

New to yoga? Come on in. All levels are welcome in our private, live-streamed video classes, regardless of whether or not you can touch your toes.

Choose when and where your session takes place by two-way video and your teacher will take care of the rest. They’ll guide you through a flow of mindful poses, focusing on the breath throughout and tailoring the entire experience to your desired goals, be it mood, flexibility or strength. They’ll end with a relaxing wind-down to leave you refreshed and revived.

Let’s go

Living room, garden, home office or bedroom. Clear some floor space, set up your device and get set: it’s about to become your at-home yoga studio.

The structure of your session will depend on both your goals and the style of yoga your teacher practices – browse individual profiles if you’re after a particular school. Common to all styles is the idea of becoming friends with your body by increasing physical awareness, building strength and connecting with the breath. All while keeping things playful and carefree.

As you practice, your trainer will observe your form, with clear instructions and demonstrations for each position. You can expect to be challenged a little, but the intensity’s yours to set.

The session will end with a relaxing wind-down and/or meditation to reset your mind for the rest of the day or evening. After your session, feel free to reach out to your teacher at any time via instant messaging.

Roomies can join for free

Staying home with friends? They're welcome to join for free – just let your trainer know beforehand so they can prepare. Soon you’ll also be able to invite them via video link.

Probably not for you if:

You have any recent injuries or health conditions – check in with your doctor to make sure you’re ready to start a new workout plan. In general, we advise that you chat with your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.

You’re pregnant and either: 1. new to regular physical activity or 2. in your first trimester – check with your health practitioner before starting a new workout plan.

You’ve got a dodgy internet connection – you’ll need reliable wifi for a smooth and easy session.
