Ready to recover? We’re on our way.
We’ve got exciting news. For the past few months we’ve been busy assembling an expert team of London physiotherapists. Now they’re ready to come to you.
When you’re in pain, all you want is get back to doing the things you love, well. And time is of the essence – early intervention can often be the key to long-term recovery. So, whether you want to feel stronger after surgery, play your favourite sport injury-free, or feel happier when doing everyday tasks that aches and pains are blocking, time with a physio can be game-changing.
Living room, not waiting room
And yet, physiotherapy is not always easy to access. With the NHS, wait times can be up to 18 weeks – sometimes longer – and ongoing treatment can be hard to find. We’ve built an easy solution. With the Urban app, you can book trusted physiotherapy to your home or hotel within 60 minutes. With no need for a referral from you GP, you can get regular, consistent rehab to get you feeling at your peak, in the fastest time possible.
Choosing the right treatment for you
Urban started life as an on-demand massage company, but in 2018 we added more services, including osteopathy. We’re proud to now offer something for every stage of physical wellbeing, from relaxation, to maintenance and recovery.
So, how do you know which treatment’s best for you? Osteopathy and physiotherapy are similar in many ways, but there are also subtle differences. In general, physios tend to focus on injury and post-surgery (rehab), whereas osteopathy is often seen as more preventative (prehab), used to prevent, detect and treat health conditions from a holistic point of view. Physiotherapists and osteopaths are bound by ethical guidelines to recommend the best course of treatment for you, so sometimes an osteopath may recommend a physiotherapist, and vice-versa.
Physiotherapists you can trust
All Urban physiotherapists are qualified and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), which means they’ve got a minimum of 1,000 clinical hours under their belt. We meet every one in person first to check they’ve got the qualifications, clear DBS record and insurance to treat you.
Physiotherapy can help with:
- Musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries
- Sports preparation and injuries
- Post-surgery
- Chronic back and neck pain, as well as knee pain
Using techniques such as:
- Exercises and stretching
- Dry needling
- Acupuncture
- Kinesiology taping
Some Urban physios also specialise in chest, heart and neurological conditions, as well as women’s health – browse individual bios to find the right physio for you.
