Bored of your usual workout routine? Why not try something different with one of London’s more bizarre exercise programmes. The city is home to every kind of class imaginable as well as those you would never even think of. Covering everything from yoga with dogs to hula hooping, we’ve rounded up four of what we believe are the wackiest workout classes in London below:

Doga

A style of yoga that sees you take on classic poses with a dog, Doga strengthens the bond between you can your pet at the same time as it strengthens your muscles. Both you and your canine chum will focus on your breath throughout the class and many dogs get so relaxed they even fall asleep on the yoga mat. When you need to exercise but can’t leave the pooch at home this is the class for you.

Hula Schoola

Guinness World Record holder Marawa the Amazing is the hula hooper who leads this weekly class in Shoreditch Town Hall with her team The Majorettes. She’ll teach you every hoop-related exercise there is, leaving your hips and core feeling well and truly worked. As well as being high energy this class is also a lot of fun, so you won’t even realise how many calories you’re burning.

Beyonce Dance Workshop

This two hour long dance class pays homage to the pop legend that is Beyonce. During the workshop you’ll learn routines to some of Queen B’s most famous tracks, all of which are fast paced, full of energy and tons of fun. While the moves may be low impact on your body the length of the session will definitely wear you out and you’ll leave sweaty but satisfied.

Aerial Yoga

An Aerial Sling uses your own body weight so that you can move through traditional yoga postures easily in this class. Helping you to stretch deeper and hold poses for longer, you’ll also feel weightless, which is half the fun. It might seem complex but it’s suitable for all levels including beginners and offers a ton of benefits for your body including low impact cardiovascular conditioning and realignment of the spine.
